“Clash of Clans” commercial starring Liam Neeson was a major hit

This year’s Super Bowl was one of the greatest in history, not only because the Patriots won, but it offered entertainment via commercials throughout the game. Here is my list of the top 10 commercials from this years big game.

Honorable Mention

Nationwide “I’m dead” commercial

This commercial was different. It  wasn’t funny, and it didn’t exactly pull at the heart-strings when suddenly the kid died. It was a memorable commercial that shocked a lot of people, including me, but it did not crack my top 10.

10.) Fiat “Blue Pill” commercial

This commercial was funny, there are no two ways around it. However, I only found the beginning funny. I’m sure the creators thought they were being creative when the blue pill transforms the car, but the end was not funny.

9.) Nick Offerman “Nascar” commercial

I’ll start this off by saying I have never watched Nascar, and will probably never have the patience to in the future. That being said, this commercial was awesome. Nick Offerman singing about Nascar was looking like it was going to be hilarious, and it was. Lyrics such as “bumping and grinding in a non-sexual way” and “everybody’s got a set of bad ***” tools sums up this great commercial.

8.) Loctite “Positive feelings”

This was a funny commercial. I will be the first person to come out and say I didn’t know what Loctite was before this, and honestly I still don’t know after. But there is something about seeing dancing people in fanny packs that is hilarious. Not to mention the final quote “Loctite saved our marrige”

7.) Avocado’s from Mexico “1st draft in history”

Great commercial. I would not have a problem putting this commercial higher I loved it so much. I will say, I think Mexico is very much regretting taking AVOCADOS as the top thing to build your country with. That may be why Mexico is in the economical mess that they have been in. In their defense, the Polar Bear would not have helped much more.

6.) Esurance “Breaking Bad” commercial

I thought Bryan Cranston retired playing Walter White, but thankfully he was still able to return once again in this Esurance commercial. Now White is a pharmacist, who as always, knows his drugs.

5.) Doritos “When Pigs Fly” commercial

We’ve all been there, we have asked for something and we get an impossible task so that we will not get what we asked for. Unlike myself, this kid was so determined to get these Doritos that he made this pig fly. Give the boy his Doritos!

4.) Mophie “all powerless”

This was a funny commercial that could be debated for being the top commercial, but it is only number four. Still a hilarious commercial. Full destruction scene, dogs walking their owners, gravity gone, just because God’s smartphone lost power. So God, if you have a smartphone, please keep it charged at all times.

3.) Nationwide “Invisible Mindy Kailing”

This commercial had a great buildup, because at first, no one thought that this commercial was going to be that funny. Then, Mindy Kailing, still thinking that she is invisible, tries to kiss Matt Damon, and gets hilariously rejected. But hey, at least now she knows that she is not invisible.

2.) Budweiser puppy commercial

Awwwwwww. That was the generic reaction we all had to this commercial. It stars a cute little lab who gets lost and nearly dies by the teeth of a wolf, but thankfully, the dog’s Clydesdale buddies were there to save him and return him home. Budweiser scored again with this commercial.

1.) Liam Neeson “Clash of Clans” commercial

This was, by far, the greatest commercial of the Super Bowl. Liam Neeson, well known for his role as a vengeful father in the “Taken” trilogy now plays a vengeful Clash of Clans gamer who, as we all know, will stop at nothing to get his revenge on those who have stolen all of his gold.
