Predictions:

Bucks vs. Sonics- The Sonics enjoyed a victory, though closer than expected, over the Blazers this weekend. They did not have a lead until the final minute of the game which was very unusual for the expected champs. Nick Mizzoni did his usual damage and scored 30 points for the Sonics. That being said, the Bucks also looked very good this past weekend. They displayed dominant rebounding, and could have had a much larger margin of victory had they cashed in on a few more free throws. The two teams match up fairly well, as both show great interior defense and rebounding. The Sonic’s main advantage will be Nick Mizzoni while the biggest advantage for the Bucks is their quality backcourt of Shane Wright and Luc Lebleu. Expect this one to go down to the wire, as an upset is fairly plausible.

Prediction: Bucks 39 — 40 Sonics

Mavericks vs. Rockets- The Mavericks somehow pulled out an impressive win against the high ranked Heat. The win wasn’t as promising as the Heat were without star big man Jake Schladenhauffen. The outcome could’ve been different, but the Mavericks did win the game and are advancing to the Semi-Finals against the Rockets. The Rockets, led by powerhouse Josh Sawyer, beat senior Andrew Clark and the Magic by two points. The Rockets were down late in the game, but they were able to force many turnovers in the final minutes. The Rockets pulled out the close win, with Sawyer leading the team with 20 points. In this interesting match up, the Rockets have the upper hand, on both offense and defense. The Rockets should be able to get this win, but the Mavericks have stunned us before and could stop the Rockets run to the championship round.

Prediction: Mavericks 47 — 52 Rockets
