This Summer, in July, Kyle Macdonald and Jeffery Kucaj, English teachers here at WA, will be getting married. Both Macdonald and Kucaj are very excited about their upcoming marriage.
Video interview appears after the jump.
The wedding ceremony will be held at a church in Cambridge, and then the reception will be held elsewhere.
The two teachers first met a couple years ago, in Macdonald’s first year here at WA. She was teaching “Catcher in a Rye”, a book she had never taught, and turned to Kucaj for guidance. The two immediately took a liking to each other.
“It was a matter of hours”, says Macdonald, referring to how much time it took Kucaj and Macdonald to realize that there was a connection between them.
They started to date, and eventually, Kucaj proposed. He proposed in Boston, on the eve of Macdonald’s birthday. Macdonald was a bit surprised at the moment he asked, but she was ready and accepted the proposal.
Details of the wedding are slowly coming together says Macdonald. The colors of the Bridesmaid dresses are narrowed down to a range of colors, as with the colors of the wedding.
The hardest and toughest part about planning the wedding is making everybody happy says Kucaj. The goal for the couple is to make the members of their tight-knit families happy, as well as making the wedding their own.
The most exciting part of the marriage for Macdonald is being able to say “Hello Husband”. The same goes for Kucaj.
