Seoul Kitchen Brings Traditional Flavors to the Table

By Ciara Barstow

Buzz has been in the air about the new restaurant at 142 Littleton Road; Seoul Kitchen has been extremely popular since its recent opening. In response to the positive reviews, we decided to taste test it for ourselves.

Although I visited on the busiest night of the week, there was absolutely no wait. The genial atmosphere welcomed customers into a very comfortable dining space.

The staff was very pleasant and extremely accommodating. Ordering was easy, and the food came in record time.

The uniqueness of the dishes was fantastic. Not only did the presentation stun, but the tastes were phenomenal.

The Firecracker dish, a unique fish entree with a flair.

Dishes such as the firecracker brought the action to the tables, turning up the heat for any competitors. The fried tempura had a light oily and airy crunch that showcased the vegetables and shrimp without overpowering them. The sauce accompanied with it had a remarkable balance of smoky flavor and subtle savor. The yaki udon had a rich flavor and texture that has drawn the hunger of many people in the area, and is highly recommended.

Out of the entrees, the most recommended meals are the traditional bowl of bibimbap and Kang’s chicken, which both brought the original culture and flavor to the table.

The bibimbap, a traditional Korean dish served with beautiful presentation and equally commendable taste.

The price of the appetizers ranged from around $8 and $13; the entrees we ordered around 13 to 24 dollars. The tastes were completely worth any cost.

Overall, Seoul Kitchen delivered. Both the menu and the staff were accommodating to any requests, including options of gluten free, vegan, and spice levels. The traditional Asian flavors thrive in every dish. The variety and culture can throw some spice into any occasion: date night, dinner out, or a casual evening with friends or acquaintances.

Seoul Kitchen is open Mondays through Thursdays from 11:30 AM to 9:30 PM, Friday 11:30 AM to 10 PM, and Saturday from 5:00 AM to 10 PM, and is worth a visit.
