This week, both national and WA sports have some great games to see. Here are my picks of the week.

National – NBA Playoff Race. While this is not an individual game to watch, sports fans should surely be viewing many different NBA games this week, as teams have only a few games left in which to either prove their playoff worth, or increase their seeding. Of course, the Celtics have quite a bit to play for. Despite holding a solid lead over Miami for most of the season, the Heat have snuck up behind the Celtics, and actually currently lead them by .5 a game in the conference. It will be interesting to see if the C’s can make up this deficit and pass the Heat, but the question arises, do they really want to? If they became the 2nd seed, they would be forced to play the 7th seed, which is currently in the Knicks, who many consider to be a tougher matchup (especially with acquired Carmelo Anthony) than the 6th seed Philly. Regardless, both Boston and Miami look to finish the regular season strong and will most likely beat their first round opponent, only to find they must play each other. These last matchups will be exciting so fans should be covering the NBA this week.

WA – Boys Lacrosse. This week, the WA Boys Lacrosse team has a few big games, with the biggest one coming at home on Thursday. In this matchup, the Grey Ghosts will have to face off against the Acton-Boxborough Colonials. The game, which is Thursday at 4, will be a heated matchup. These DCL rivals have quite a bit of history between them, and I expect the game to be aggresive, as both teams strive for the win. Fans should go out to support the lax team as they look to start the season strong. Expect a close matchup, that could be decided in the final minutes. While AB should post a tough fight, I expect WA to pull this one out at home, but by a slim margin.
