This week, there will be no major WA sports as we are in between seasons, so I will focus on national sports since it’s time for March Madness.

National – March Madness. This week, starting on Thursday and continuing for two straight weeks is the college basketball yearly tournament, march madness. This year, the field expanded from 65 to 68 teams to allow for four more play-in games to enter the final field of 64 teams. The four teams that pulled down the top seeds in their region this year were Ohio State, Kansas, Duke, and Pittsburgh. The Final Four will be played in Houston, Texas with one team emerging from their competitors to win college’s greatest tournament on April 4th.

As for my picks, I will not give a run-down of my whole bracket. Instead, I will talk about who I have winning it all, and that is none other than the Ohio State Buckeyes. The #1 overall seed, the Buckeyes come in hot and looking formidable. With dominant freshman Jared Sullinger, sharpshooter Jon Diebler, as well as stars David Lighty and William Buford. Quite simply put, I do not see anyone who can challenge them at this point. While anything can happen in the tournament, Ohio State is currently the best bet to win it all, and I think that they will have the sustained firepower to make it through the rigorous, crazy, and exciting days of March Madness.
