Located inside room 125 is a selection of miscellaneous articles of clothing; the new Best Buddies Clothing Outlet. According to Librarian Elaine Pietras, this clothing exchange was created as a fundraiser for Best Buddies that was based on something that is different and convenient.
“Everyone wears clothes,” explained Pietras.
The purpose of this is to recycle and to provide students both at the high school and middle schools with a cheaper, easier way to buy clothes. Teenagers with clothes that are too small or not needed, such as prom dresses, can donate them to this exchange. The local shop, Sweet Peas, has also contributed, stocking the Outlet with a variety of styles and sizes.
Students who visit room 125 will discover a treasure of high quality clothing at extraordinarily low prices. Not only do the prices start low, but Best Buddies also offers discounts in the form of 50% off coupons and “Buddy Bucks”. Buddy Bucks are received after a purchase is made and can be used on your next purchase.
Prices include: Shirts ranging from $1.50 to $2.50, sweatshirts at $3, pants and skirts from $3 to $4, shorts from $1 to $2.50, shoes at $3, and formal wear from $5 to $10. When combined with the discounts, these prices are said to be unbeatable.
